25th April 2024 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: Weather: Mainly cloudy with some rain Max Speed: Distance Covered: 5.50 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Thursday 25th April - walk **** – Around Felixstowe – sunny periods and chilly with some light rain . We got a message asking if we could have Maeva this moring so no exercises for me today, we were hoping to walk around to pick her up at 9.45 but had to wait for the rain/hail to stop. In the end we set off just after ten in light rain, chilly too so coats were back on even though I still had my shorts on! After picking Maeva up we needed to visit Lidl so headed for home the long way down Maidstone Road with Maeva falling asleep before we made it to the shop! A quick spin around Lidl we continued to Felixstowe prom, with the chilly breeze offshore it was pleasant enough walking back, a quick spin around the pier where we spotted a man swimming inn the sea, rather him than me! We carried onto the Spa theatre where Maeva woke up and enjoyed a couple of yummy fruit shortcake biscuits as the sun came out making it really pleasant sitting by the Dipping pool:) Then up the gentle slope through the Spa Gardens to the pram walk, along the cliff top and home for lunch. Maevas dad then picks her up so Mag and I walk to pick up her van which has had a new clutch fitted, the bill was a bit of a shock but at least we are back on the road and the trip to Surrey at the weekend to see your Grandson is on:) Photo Album here |
